Deputy chief justice, Nancy baraza has been suspended
indefinitely. The president took the stand action in line to a report presented
to him by a judicial service committee that looked into Mrs. baraza conduct. It
is alleged that Mrs. Baraza manhandled a woman security officer, Ms Kerubo at
the village market at Christmas Eve. The drama went viral with most Kenyans on social networks calling for her immediate resignation.
The suspension comes amid a pending court case filled by the
former DCj to temporarily stop the president from gazetting a tribunal to look
into her conduct. Mrs. Baraza was appointed to the position after a rigorous
interview by the judicial service commission.
With this suspension, it is apparent that the power of the
internet is imminent. In addition, every individual whether in government or
not ought to take responsibility for his/her actions. Pinching noses will soon
be a thing of the past in Kenya
